Shelly Beach Lodge is located 45 klm northwest of Port Lincoln on Mount Dutton Bay and set on 100 acres of natural scrub lands with 750 metres of accessible coastline offering exellent fishing opportunities and only minutes from Farm Beach, shops, sporting club museum and boatramps.

Your lodgings are designed and operated to be as Eco friendly and kind to there surroundings as possible, the building is constructed from primarily natural materials and all power is provided from renewable sources (Wind & Solar)
Yet still has most mod cons.

Kangaroos and emus can be observed from your lodgings most afternoons drinking from the northside hill spring.
The grounds, being mainly bushland, require adequate footware when traversing and care should be taken not to disturb the wildlife.
Words or photos can't adequately discribe the ocean views enjoyed from every room and especially the private balcony, a great spot to watch the sunset while enjoying a fine wine or a cold beer. Enjoy

  • Perfect location, beautiful surroundings, in close proximity to the beach, with excellent fishing. Rod & Donna were fantastic hosts with loads of local knowledge. And I was able to bring my dogs along, which made our stay that much sweeter!

  • The serenity & the view! The balcony was well used - an excellent place to chill out, enjoy the amazing views, watch a sunset, cook a BBQ, & eat meals. We spent most daylight hours on the balcony, so relaxing!

  • The location is great, and there are so many beautiful beaches a short drive away. The Property was fantastic, clean and relaxing. Rod was extremely helpful when we arrived and very welcoming. We had the best time there and would highly recommend "Shelly Beach Lodge"

  • Shelly Beach Lodge is located in a fantastic position. The views are breathtaking. Rod - the host at the lodge is very friendly and eager to assist as required. The lodge itself is quaintly designed - it has a unique character and is not cookie cutter typical chalet/hotel style. We felt like we were in a real 'holiday' place. We cooked on the BBQ and washed dishes by hand rather than by using a dishwasher. The holiday and the lodge spurred a feeling of simpler times where the pace of life was leisurely and not so hectic.

  • To say we enjoyed our stay at Shelly Beach Lodge would be an understatement. View from balcony absolutely priceless and breathtaking! Pure Tranquility. Rod was very accomodating, and went far beyond his duties as a host - He generously shared his knowledge on the native flora/fauna, took us on a guided walk, and even took us off-road in his 4WD. Will definately be back for more! Michael and Tina ps: try "Rod's Bananna Pancakes"!!!!

  • The position was excellent - great views, peaceful & quiet with wildlife present. However, 6 of us stayed for a week. This is truely an ecolodge. There is no microwave or oven to speak of and hair dryers are out. It is run by solar power and rain water. The other thing to keep in mind is that the toilet is in the bathroom. Unfortunately we had a few issues with the eco situation and bathroom/toilet as there were so many of us. We were refunded a portion of our cost to compensate.
